Install and sign in with Google

Add the extension from the Chrome Web Store, click its icon, and press Continue with Google.

Press Start Captions

Open the page you teach from, a Google Doc, Slides, anything, click the extension icon, and press Start Captions. Allow the microphone the first time Chrome asks.

Your words appear as clean, scrolling captions, with each language in its own draggable, resizable box.

Share your class code once, and you're done for the year

Open Settings & styling, give your class a name students will recognize, like Mr. Leatherwood, Chemistry, and pick your languages.

Every class gets a permanent code, like CHEM3. Post it in Google Classroom or Canvas once, or show the QR code on the board and let students scan it. Students who save the code auto-reconnect on their own every time you go live, all year long. If a student has more than one class live at the same time, they simply tap which one they're in.

Students join free

• Students install the same extension (or IT force-installs it; see the IT guide).
• They enter your class code once, or scan the QR code, and pick their language.
• From then on they reconnect automatically when you start captions. If they're in more than one live class at once, they pick which one to follow.
• Students never pay and never need an account.

Subscribe when your trial ends

When the 10 days are up, press Subscribe · $6/mo in the popup. Checkout is handled by Stripe, and you can cancel anytime from Manage plan, which opens your Stripe customer portal.
